My birthday was on the 10th. I realize it’s a tich bit late for a birthday post, but here I am anyhow.
Over the weekend I picked up my glasses. Yet another sign that time marches on and aging is occuring.
In spite of my birthday falling on a Tuesday, I had a very nice birthday. I took the day off and Mr. POSSLQ and I took a field trip to Trader Joes. Then we came home and in the evening, Mr. POSSLQ made a special birthday dinner.
I got a spectacularly sweet message from The Girl on Facebook. Seriously, Mr.POSSLQ brought me the entire roll of paper towels because I got all misty-eyed.
On Saturday, we are going out for Fondue. We are doing the grocery shopping tomorrow night so we don’t have to rush to get it done on Saturday. Plus, we have a date with Dexter and Diva (kittehs of RomanceWriter S) who I have done catsitting for over the last several years. RomanceWriter S is moving to The Frozen Tundra soon, though, so this will be my chance to say farewell to my little furriends.
I’d love to be able to say I have some sage and/or profound advice after another march around the sun, but I honestly don’t have anything coming to mind. The last year has had many challenges. I am still not where I want to be with my business. We’ve signed another 13-month lease, which means we are going on year 6 in this apartment. I keep hoping that every year is the last we’ll have to spend here, but until my income stabilizes, moving really isn’t an option. And, well, I still have a significant amount of sorting and throwing away to do.
But now? Now it’s (past) time to go to bed. We old folks need our sleep!
