S is for Spring Cleaning

SSo, I am taking advantage of Mr. POSSLQ being out of the house and getting some Spring Cleaning done.  Mostly because I can use his bed to pile things on and not have to move them every night.  Needless to say, the clock is ticking.

I am working on getting this done because when I take my trip to see The Girl, I do not want things to be chaos. Plus, I hate CHAOS (Can’t Have Anyone Over Syndrome), not because I want to have people over, but I would really prefer it if I didn’t have to worry that the UPS driver was judging me for the fact that the place needs to be vacuumed.

Also, can someone please explain to me how we got a big, huge bin full of shoes? I mean, I wear pretty much the same shoes every time I go out, so I am not sure why I have more than 2 pairs of shoes (one for everyday and one for the rare occasion that I need to go somewhere and look extra nice). But, there is this huge bin of shoes in our closet and it’s a little ridiculous.

Furthermore, I am back to the point where the shredding (paper) is piled up.  Really? I try to stay on top of these things but they get out of hand pretty quickly.

I did manage to get the dishes (mostly washed).  The bedroom is vacuumed (SO. MUCH. FUR!!) I was SHOCKED that I had to empty the canister twice for the bedroom (which doesn’t have much floor to be vacuumed because most of the floor is taken up by our beds.  (A Queen Bed and a Full Bed take up a lot of space). I need to get the office vacuumed today.

But, at the moment, I think I need to take a little nap.

  1. @Shonna – I am a failed Flybaby…. I tried, I really did but I couldn’t get past the philosophy that I should be prepared to do it all myself to “bless” my family if they chose not to participate. I do like a lot of the cleaning concepts (Shiny Sink & Made Beds), though.
